  Programme Assessment Committee (PAC) Meeting The Programme Assessment Committee (PAC) Meeting of the Dept. Mechanical Engineering was conducted on 21st January 2022.  Dr. Rathishchandra Gatti, Head, presented the observations given by the NBA Expert Committee and briefed the committee on action plans that would be implemented. He also stated the accomplishments of AY 2020-21 highlighting student performance through result analysis, MOOC courses, placements, entrepreneurial activities, faculty performance through research and publications. The activities that were planned for the AY 2021-22 were also discussed. Dr. Nalini Rebello, Dean (Academics) gave valuable suggestions related to effective implementation of Teaching Learning Process. Dr Anush Bekal, Head, ECE Dept. gave insights on effective attainment analysis and motivated the department to organize more activities like webinars.   "SWOC Analysis" conducted by the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering. The Department of Mechanical engineering conducted the "SWOC Analysis"  at the department level under the guidance of Dr. Nalini E Rebello, Academics Dean. on 14th Dec 2021 at Lecture hall 110. During the meeting, all the faculties gave their valuable inputs and contributed to the SWOC Analysis and came up with the action plan.

    Hands-on Training on “Tribological Studies and Experimentation Using Tribometer” In view of nurturing application oriented and value added research, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering always thinks unique and introduces initiatives for the benefit of faculty and students. Every week, the students are given insights on opportunities in research. On 3rd Jan, 2022, Prof. Vinay B U, trained 11 final year Mechanical Engineering students with “Hands-on Training On Tribological Studies and Experimentation Using Tribometer” in the Advance Wear Testing Lab on tribological studies of engineering materials using the tribometer and gave them insights on applications and career opportunities in the field of Tribology. Key takeaways of the session: • Practical applications of wear analysis. • Industrial importance of different wear studies of different types of structural or engineering materials. • Educating students with tribometer and its integrated applications related to their academic studies
