"Hands on workshop on Origin Graphing Solutions"   The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management conducted "Scientific Data Visualization using ORIGIN Lab" for final year mechanical students on 18th Dec 2021, 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at CIM lab. The objective of this workshop was to make faculty and students  gain knowledge about scientific data visualization using origin lab.  In this boot camp, Origin Lab- Graphing Solution was used. Professor Vinay B U,  Department of Mechanical Engineering  trained the students on using  Origin Lab- Graphing Solution.

BoS meeting in the Department of Mechanical Engineering  The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management conducted " Board of Studies " meeting on 11th Dec 2021, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Board Room. The agenda of the meeting involved  I ntroduction of the BoS Members, Comparison of the VTU Scheme and the Proposed Scheme, Comparison of the VTU Curriculum and the Proposed Curriculum, Justifications for the changes made in the Syllabus,  Evaluation Methods/Rubrics,  Model Question Papers. Dr. Rathishchandra R Gatti, HOD- Department of Mechanical Engineering presented Item – wise statistics to the committee members through a presentation as per the agenda and requested the members for their valuable suggestions. Hands-on Research paper Boot camp using Mendeley by Department of Mechanical Engineering The department of mechanical engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management  conducted "Hands-on  Research paper Boot camp using Mendeley '' for final year mechanical students on 11th Dec 2021, 8:30 AM to 1:00PM at CIM lab. The objective of this workshop was to make students conduct and disseminate their innovative research using publications as the tool. In this boot camp, reference manager -Mendeley from Elsevier was used. Dr. Rathishchandra R. Gatti ,HoD-Department of Mechanical Engineering  trained the students on using Mendeley  software  to collate information and write research papers. In the second session , Dr. Harsha Kumar  trained the students on how to read a research paper and the generic structure of a research paper.
